In New York, students will take a state mathematics exam each year from third through eighth grade. The links below will take you to old NYS Math tests. These make great practice tests when preparing your students for this year's state testing.
Grade 3 Practice Tests
Book 1, Grade 3

The first part of the New York State Mathematics test for third graders consists of 25 multiple choice questions. This sample test was originally given on March 3-7 2008.

Book 2, Grade 3
|
The second section of the third grade New York State Math test contains a series of multiple choice questions in which students are requred to show their work or explain their answers. This test was first given on March 2-7 2008.
