Moving Math

"Moving Math" Roll dice/die which students must read/calculate and move accordingly. Example: If student rolls a six then we perform six jumping jacks. If student rolls a 9 then perform 9 bunny hops. Etc. Variations: Calculate two or more dice/die using addition, subtration, multiplication. I have been playing this for sixteen years and my students just love it--from pre-school up through 4th grade!

When my class is discussing sorting, we like to use buttons. You can sort them by shape, size, color, how many holes they have, etc. The students really enjoy looking at all the unique designs of the buttons.

Webmaster note:  Thanks for sharing, Christine and Rhonda!
